If you're sad, or feeling blue,
I'll give back a piece of you.
A golden watch with silver chain,
A collared shirt to hide your pain.
A ragged coat, a wide-brimmed hat,
A belt to hide what makes you fat.
A pair of pants of generous slack,
I'll give you a piece of you back.
A beating heart, your very skin,
The underparts that make us Men.
A pair of lungs, a singing voice,
A lovely spine to give you poise.
A couple of eyes to let you wink,
A wrinkly brain to help you think.
Some skinny hands to clench in fury,
I'll give the rest of you in a hurry.
Some happiness for when dawn breaks,
Excitement to blow out birthday cakes.
Anger for all of your small peeves
Loneliness for if your friends should leave.
My giving's done, you're whole again!
But my stores of Feeling did run quite thin.
So I gave some sorrow and pain and such,
But of those two, I gave too much.

Above all things I believe in love. Love is like oxygen--love is a many splendored thing--love lifts us up where we belong! All you need is love!
